Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how The Class Alchemy™ (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use our website and software services (the “Service”).
1. Information we collect
We may collect:
- Account and profile data: name, email address, and credentials you provide when you register or update your account.
- Service content: class plans, skills, student or studio-related information, and other content you enter into the Service.
- Usage and technical data: device type, browser, approximate location derived from IP, log data, and interactions with the Service to maintain security and improve performance.
- Payment-related data: when you subscribe, our payment processor may collect billing details; we typically receive limited information such as subscription status and transaction identifiers, not your full card number.
- Communications: messages you send us (for example, support or waitlist inquiries).
2. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Service;
- Authenticate users and secure accounts;
- Process subscriptions and communicate about billing or service changes;
- Respond to support requests and send administrative messages;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or similar jurisdictions, we rely on contract performance, legitimate interests (such as security and product improvement), consent where required, and legal obligation as appropriate.
4. Data storage (Supabase)
We use Supabase as a backend platform to host and process application data (for example, database and authentication services). Data is stored and processed according to Supabase’s infrastructure and our configuration. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information.
5. Third-party services
We use service providers that process data on our behalf, including:
- Paddle (or another designated merchant of record) for payment processing, tax, and subscription management. Payment data is subject to Paddle’s privacy policy and terms.
- Supabase for hosting, database, and related infrastructure as described above.
- Other vendors we may use for email delivery, analytics, or security, as disclosed in product settings or notices.
These providers access data only as needed to perform services for us and are contractually obligated to protect it.
6. Sharing of information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with service providers as described above, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger), subject to applicable law.
7. Retention
We retain information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion of your account subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Security
We use industry-standard measures appropriate to the nature of the data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. International transfers
If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information may be processed in the United States or other countries where we or our providers operate. We use appropriate safeguards where required by law (such as standard contractual clauses).
10. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data; object to or restrict certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is consent-based; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact hello@theclassalchemy.com. We will respond in accordance with applicable law.
11. Children
The Service is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
12. Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy with an updated “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
